I accidentally saved my new file, which was a trial version of the game, over the old file, the full game!
This is a BIG problem! Does anyone know if there is any way to correct it somehow? ANYHOW?

Whatever you do, do not save your project a second time!
...
Im pretty sure MMF2 saves backup files of all Applications ( located in the Applications folder ).
Try looking in the Application folder for a file called "ApplicationName.001", and open it with MMF2.
If you allowed MMF2 to keep backups, simply find any with the extension .001, .002, .003, etc and open it within mmf2. If you didn't allow mmf2 to keep backups, then you have problem
For future reference, it is a good idea to keep strict naming conventions (Example: dogsled_demo_v0012 compared dogsled_full_v00012d) for naming your file builds. Also backup your builds daily, email them to yourself, and/or put into you own cloud hosting system. ( I need to follow my own advice more often)
Hopefully the backup suggestions help!
Normally, you might be able to find it in the "Trash Bin," but because you saved over the files, it won't keep them.
I agree with Xhadoe though. Rename the files and keep them in different folders to prevent mix ups in the future.
Hope you can retrieve the file!
THANK GOD! There's a .001 backup! Thanks SO MUCH, that could've been a nightmare...
Always backup your files, ALWAYS, everytime you enter or exit your computer!
But yeah 001 files can alwyas save us, also, you can makethat number bigger.
Your PC might be running shadow copy as well which is always handy for issues like this.
right mouse click a folder, then properties and then select "previous versions" tab. You might need to turn it on first though. follow this guide http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials...-turn-off.html
I would also reccomend installing a cloud based storage (ie dropbox/skydrive) and save everything in there. I believe you can get backups from them.. although never had to use them for that reason.
