The short answer is that you have to create an archive of your app and submit it to the App Store. This is all done within Xcode.

Olivier it's totally right....
you need to go to on topbar...(editor or product) then click archive.....wait......then go to Windows>organizer.....click archive......first you need to click VALIDATE......when it finishes you can finally click distribute.....but don't forget to put your app on ready to upload on itunes connect first...

Ok, thanks now after the project is sucessfully built and archived I do ge to a new window where there is two buttons, one for validation and one for distribution. But when I press the validation button I get this window: Attachment 9025
After I press "download identities" I get some message about "an administrator must request identities before they can be downloaded" : Attachment 9026
Do you know what I should do now? It feels like you get a new error by every corner with dealing with apple, it is really annoying. I have the project set to "waiting for upload": Attachment 9027
