Tab key in Rich Edit Box - how to avoid inserting a tab spacing?

I may have cornered myself in on this application I'm trying to make. I need the tab key to bounce the focus between various items, including a few Rich Edit Objects. When I press tab in the Rich Edit Object, it always inserts a tab spacing (5 blank spaces, I presume). Is there any way to remedy this? I've tried quite a few solutions to no avail. Any input is GREATLY appreciated, seeing as I'm sort of married to the tab key on this one...
