VERY IMPORTANT in MMF 2.5 dev not work exe command

I have a big and serious problem with mmf 2.5- dev

I use mmf 2 dev to control a hardware interface and with this version mmf2 I can control this device with the following command:
executive an external program -> with a fixed path name
"C: \ Labdomotic 4000 \ Hardware \ ha 000000000000000000000000000000.exe "

I have an exe file that sends an instruction to the interface when it receives this string.
When I want to turn on the relay 1 of my card , send this command:
(executive an external program -> with a fixed path name
"C: \ Labdomotic 4000 \ Hardware \ ha 100000000000000000000000000000.exe " )

Command for turn on ALL relays:
(executive an external program -> with a fixed path name
"C: \ Labdomotic 4000 \ Hardware \ ha 111111111111111111111111111111.exe " )

When the command has been sent, an hourglass appears the exe command sent.
With the ' upgrade to version 2.5 I can not do more than send this command because this command is not executed.

I had this problem every time I did the ' Update mmf 2 dev , but to solve this problem, I ran a extension pack. (ExtensionPackInstall.exe 54,8mb)
After the launch of the extension pack, this command was back working.

Unfortunately, this extension pack if I install it in the MMF 2.5 dev , the command that I use to turn on the relay does not work. This extension pack installs new objects , but does not solve my problem.

What is the problem ?
I have invested a lot of money for this program, and I want to have this feature, but I do not know the problem and I want to know why in this version MMF2 DEV command only works if I install this extension pack.

I am not sure I understand your post much.

I think you might need a special extension to connect to the device.
The people who make the extension might need to update it for Fusion 2.5
Seems odd its a 52mb extension.... and its very slow to download.

why don' t you just finish programming it in MMF2.0 if it works flawlessly there? What' s the Reason for continuing the Project in CF2.5? Is there a Functionality in CF2.5 that you Need for Your Programm that' s not available in MMF2.0?
By the Way, i see you have not registered your CF2.5-Serial here on the Forum. If You do, you get Access to the newest Beta-Versions of CF2.5 which have a lot of Bug-Fixes.

I thought mmf 2.5 dev was more modern, more advanced with a bitmap editor, but it only functions related to the physics of movements. Why clich team as relase a version 2.5 of charge since version 2.0 and 2.5. are practically the same?

Nobody ever mentioned that Clickteam Fusion 2.5 had an advanced bitmap editor. Also, one of Clickteam's competitors makes sells new versions of their products that are only slightly better all the time (at least they used to). Also, in addition to the new physics movements, Clickteam Fusion 2.5 has a better interface, a built-in extension manager, Unicode+HWA support, and a whole lot of other new features (I can't remember them all off the top of my head LOL).

I'am agree with you when you say that 2.5 version is better than 2.0 and is is useful to buy the upgrade. Anyway my problem is that I can swich on/off the relays of my interface. I solve this problem, is 2.0, istalling the extansion pack. Without the istallation of extension pack I was not able to sand command.exe.
Why i solve may problem with this installation? and why if I install this extension pack in 2.5 version I can not sand my exe command?

I hope than someone can help me because thank to my interface many license of MMF dev have been bought, infact was a client of mine to make me notice that in 2.5 version he cannot turn on/off the relays of my interface.
I work with 2.0 version, so i had to do the upgrade in order to understand the problem.

I'm failing to understand a slight issue here, you should be sending your parameters as switches (arguments) like:
(executive an external program -> with a fixed path name
"C: \ Labdomotic 4000 \ Hardware \ ha .exe /1000000000000000000" )

Not
(executive an external program -> with a fixed path name
"C: \ Labdomotic 4000 \ Hardware \ ha 100000000000000000000000000000.exe " )

You then read the switch at the Start of Frame and adjust accordingly.

Unless you have compiled a series of individual executables with variable filenames?

is a semplification of my code in order to make clear my problem.

these values: "000000000000000000000000000000" are boolean values take from an array and put in a string, example:
(executive an external program -> with a fixed path name
""C:\Labdomotic 4000\Hardware\"+string$( "global_array" )" )

Now I try to work in the way you suggest, even if I did Not understand the different between "/" and "\"

It will. You can send an array of information over the command line, do this:


(executive an external program -> with a fixed path name
""C:\Labdomotic 4000\Hardware\ha.exe"+/Astring$( "global_array" )" )

Then do:
Start of Frame (CommandItem$("A" )) - this will load in the Array...

Not work :-(

You need a space between ha.exe and the switch, you also need a commandline identifier, in my example above /A

So you do ha.exe

and in the commandline:
/A(numbershere)

If I write in this way the command is accepted and I can see this because of the hourglass (when run command exe in windows, appear the hourglass in mouse pointer)

If I send this command in this way and write in this way: "C:\Labdomotic 4000\Hardware\ha.exe"

, it works, but only if are not included relays command ex: "11111111..."

You need to do it with an evaluated expression. Like so...

Then inside the ha.exe executable, you need to detect CommandItem$("A") and the result is the the proceeding numbers...

Why every time I update MMF dev 2.0 the command does not work anymore?
every time I install the update for MMF2 dev , I always install the extension pack for work the command, maybe because the latest versions have written a new command code?
I'm desperate, I think is very important to continue my projects with new versions of MMF2.5 , there is a solution to my problem?
