iOS 2.5 ruins apps
Ok, so I finally upgraded to Fusion 2.5 yesterday along with all of my exporters. Unfortunately my apps, which still work perfectly when testing on my PC, now have a meltdown in X-Code, with almost nothing working correctly. Buttons go nowhere when clicked, counters litter the screen, features are misplaced. It's like everything has gone haywire. What on earth?

I thought maybe I need to upgrade to X-Code 5.1.1, the latest. But now I can't even build my project without it failing. Now the games won't build, saying "Semantic Issue: Reference to non-static member function called." I knew I shouldn't have upgraded anything. :(
At least my old project made with iOS exporter 2.0 still work. Anything made with the 2.5 however just converts to trash in X-Code. I'll just keep using 2.0.

Please report anything like this via http://bugbox.clickteam.com so that our developers can investigate. Where possible, please upload example mfa files - these can be set at "private" so that only Clickteam staff will have access to the files.
Thanks.

We have released a bunch of betas since the Fusion 2.5 release. Can you please try out the latest one and see if that fixes your problems?
-
I'm using 281.1, that's the most recent version that I can find.
-
Animdude, I've also had problems with custom active object buttons not being clickable when they start off of the screen. Is your problem similar to this?
-
It doesn't matter. I can't output with the Android exporter 2.5 either. Errors, errors.
Well I found out that part of my problem was having an older version of the Android exporter, even though the one I got was the latest one listed in the Owners Lounge for the Android 2.5 exporter. So I'll just ask- Where is THE place to get the latest betas? The problem I'm having with the iOS exporter is probably because either Fusion 2.5 or the iOs exporter is outdated, but all I can do it get the latest one listed in the Owner's Lounge. Is there a better place?

Did you try a clean build within x-code?

No wait, Game_Master is right. I didn't think about it until this morning. Yes in the 2.5 exporter, things that start off screen don't function properly even when they come on screen. In my current games, many objects and buttons start off screen, and the "viewscreen" jumps around to them during gameplay. This worked fine in MMF2. But in Fusion 2.5, anything that starts offscreen remains inactive, even when the viewscreen is centered over them. It's like the game doesn't realize that they aren't off screen anymore. I'm going to update this in the bug tracker because that's definitely a part of this problem.
And Mercury, I'll try your suggestion this morning as well.

Running a clean build in X-Code doesn't work. So here is the problem, going from the iOS 2.5 exporter to the older version of X-Code works, BUT, everything is screwed up due to active objects off screen being flagged as inactive and never being able to be flagged as active even when on screen again. Exporting from MMF2 doesn't have that problem. When updating X-Code to the newest version, the MMF2 exporter still works fine, but then the Fusion 2.5 exported file won't build at all anymore. So there is definitely an active object glitch with the iOS exporter as mentioned by Game_Master. Plus it seems like the latest exporter isn't compatible with latest X-Code.
I hope this is addressed soon. I'm still working in MMF2 today. I want to be using Fusion. :(

The latest Betas are in the forums, NOT the lounge area... for IOS that will fix all your problems.
Same for Android

So... the ones that work... aren't the ones on the main download page? :I
I guess I'll keep looking for them then?
EDIT: Ok, ok. I found it. However, I would say that if there's an update like this one that includes really important bug fixes, it should be mentioned in a more prominent place. This beta isn't just an improvement, it's THE working version. It should be at least mentioned in the Owner's Lounge or in a post that stays at the top of the list so people can find it.
And thank you for the help. I'm just happy that there was a fix. ;)

The iOS offscreen issue isn't resolved, even with the newest beta. Exported files open just fine now and most of the scrolling issues are fixed, but objects that spawn offscreen are still inactive and unclickable, even when the screen is centered over them. And yes, I'll mention it in the bug section.

I'm looking into that.
