I am using a sub-application to do my inventory screen. Unfortunatelly while the inventory is open, the action is still going on behind it in the parent frame.
Is it possible to pause the entire parent frame while a sub frame is visible?

Check Modal in the properties. of the Sub-application.

i dont want it to pup up as a new window
So you can put all your events in one group and deactivate it when the inventory is opened.
Activate this group again when the sub-app is finished (when you destroy it after closing) or invisible.
Just try around a little bit.
that is gonna overcomplicate the logic..but oh well. I thought the frame function could do this in a simple way. Its just so weird to have it used as a HUD element that pops up on request and then find out that it is popping out in a new window in your operating system.
Are there any other ways of freeze-framing things?
you don't need to make it open a whole new window in the operating system..
