Is there a way to get the application menu in focus so it can be used by the keyboard arrows? For example, open Notepad and press the alt key. It puts the keyboard focus up in the file menu. I want to replicate that feature but can't seem to get it to work. I swear I had done it in the past...
Only thing I could think of is simulating the "alt" keypress,
"Control X" object can do this (doesn't work with keystring "Alt Gr", but luckily works with key value = 18)

When you edit your menu put a '&' char before the letter, example: &Open will be select when you type Alt+O
