Is there any extension or way to easily make active objects appear in various ways? I know there is a fade transition option, but is it also possible to make it grow from 0-1 scale, or appear in other cool ways using scale and transparency?
I can make this on my own, but it would be cool if something easier already existed.
I have an example that might help. It is a skeleton.

This appearing uses animation frames though, which is something I would like to avoid. I want to use one frame and play with scale, angle and transparency using as little work as possible. This is something I find myself doing everytime I make a new game..
My example, IMHO, is less work than using fading and scale. My brain maybe leaked too much though. It is also realistic, more so than a creature just fading into existence. That is also IMHO.

For enemies spawning and being defeated, I totally agree! But in my case (this case anyway) its just for buttons in the menu, sort of..
.. I could swear I have seen this somewhere before.. Possibly in the store (??)
Yeah you can use angle, transparency and scale in any way/combination you need,
need some tips on something specific to do?
I.e. you could do simply like:
object alt. val. S < 1 (any alt. val is by default 0, so at creation all objects will have this = 0)
>>> add 0.1 (or any increment you like) to alt. val. S
>>> set scale to alt. val. S
same for alpha blending (0-255)
or angles (0-360)
in any way/combination you want
Here is an simple example that schrodinger suggested for scaling up. This is for a group of buttons.

I have actually come up with a relatively painless way to do what I wanted.

If you look at the events, you see the growing (scaling) and the "bouncing" after it reaches full scale, are sort of independent - meaning I can adjust the bounce amount as much as I want. This is fair enough, but I am 100% sure I have seen an extension before that handles these kinds of effects. My way of solving the bouncing is setting the scale to ...
1.0 + 0.25
1.0 - 0.20
1.0 + 0.15
1.0 - 0.10
1.0 + 0.05
1.0 - 0.00
.. So I do not have the acceleration and deacceleration I want.. In other words, a smooth, slower motion of this is not possible.
I have failed to find the math formula to solve this myself D:
Before, I have also made a counter like now, but made an event for each step to staticly set the scale I want. This is not very pretty!!
