I'm having the worst time with HTML5.
Hey Clickteam,
I'll start by saying my inexperience with game making is probably the issue X) but I'm having the hardest time figuring out why my frames run so slow with HTML5. I've been working on my first ever game after discovering Clickteam late in 2014! Now, not having much experience with game creating, I never thought about frame speed, exporting, scaling tips, etc... I just assumed if it runs when I test the MFA frame, it works perfect. XD But boy have I learned so much. I recently just finished my first game and am ready to export. I purchased HTML5 so my game can run on multiple operating systems. My application is 640 x 480. I'm finding most levels that stay in this frame size and have limited background objects, active objects etc work fine. But it's the scrolling levels with larger frame sizes that give me 10 fps and slower. I'm just confused why would one frame slow down so much? How could someone build any kind of big game with HTML5? Has anyone run into these slow down issues in their game? Do you have tips on how to speed up games with HTML5? Thanks Clickers!
