path movement question - how to make more realistic

Hi,

Noob here. I place a top down looking automobile. I then gave it a path to follow to drive. But when it does so, it just follows the path without moving itself...so it looks really weird, as if it does not turn....just slides around....

Is there a way to make the object move at different points in the pathway?

you mean that the car should rotate while following the path?

You must make sure your car has animation directions filled,
then Fusion will apply the animation direction basing on path direction.

You can simply right-click on the small dot next to the animation direction you already have
(in the directional "clock" you find under the picture editor of animations)
and select "create rotated directions"
you can increase number of directions with the slider, up to 32
