^^ As the title suggests, how do they? Always wondered how that happens.
Woah awesome! Thanks Stuart!
I wanted to know if there is any limits to making an "infinite" procedural generated game?
Things like: lag, rendering, etc. Especially making it procedural, since it will be...
Ah, thanks. I was overlooking it a bit too much XD
Hi everybody, this might be really simple, but it's something I'm struggling with.
Basically, I want to set a counter to the current string's character number.
I have 2 strings: 1 for temporary...
Yep! Here's an simple example using a counter and a button.
(P.S: sounds not owned by me ;))
1) You'll have to bring the object to multiple frames.
2) Yes, same with sprites.
3) Yes, you can have 2 objects with the same sprite. You can make another active and use that sprite.
Just like the title says, which extensions are compatible with all runtimes?
Yeah, that happens a lot with Fusion/MMF2 Games. It's false-positive. Try disabling your anti-virus then upload it, and report it to the company that made the software.
Thanks for the help guys! I'll try both those methods. Happy holidays!
Thanks guys! :3
As the title suggests, is there anyway to check if the .ini file has been edited?
My game is easily cheat-able by editing the .ini file.
What I'm aiming for is if the game notices the .ini file...
It might be because that frame had references to to other frames/objects/sounds that wouldn't let it build.
Not sure. Anyways, good that you can build it.
Well, both works, so XD
To save the global value just copy and paste the counter into the next frame.
I will attach an example in 5 mins.
Had no idea, thanks!
Here's some resources.
* I presume you're a beginner? If so, then use: http://www.clickteam.com/tutorials and follow along! :)
* If you prefer to watch video tutorials, you can watch: Sparckman,...
Just as a tip, you might not want the frame size so big, as Fusion has a 2GB RAM limit. ;)
Multiplayer is possible in Fusion. You can use the Lacewing extension, plenty of tutorials there.
However, exploring a map individually for each player might be a challenge, but it's possible....
Yep! You can do all of those in Fusion. You might want to do the map in little chunks, especially if you're going for a multiplayer type of game.
Like everyone else, it works fine for me.
Send an example .mfa to test.
Thanks @Kentronisk and @Danny! :)
Just curious :)
Thanks for the reply.
Just like the title says, is it possible?
Something like Low, Medium, and High.
Thank you! That was something I was looking for! :O :D @Dengarde
Is there any examples/extensions that can do speech bubbles?
Something like the text going from left to right, it adds the words from left to right every .10 seconds.
I can't describe it...
Awesome work! Do you have a planned release date? Or a demo perhaps? :)
Here ya go!18134
Thanks! Will check out.
Had not even realized, thanks! XD
Since ClickTeam Fusion is a 32-bit program, it only has 2GB of RAM (correct me if wrong).
You could try changing the window size, or cutting the animations in half.
Another thing worth trying is...
Hello all! Is there any lacewing video tutorials (or text, fourms) that you can kindly link me to? I can't seem to find any tutorials. Thanks!
Hi there, I've been toying around with graphics and memory, etc. And I've recently came up with an idea: would it be possible to change the graphics quality (like low, medium, or high) in Clickteam...
I'll have to see. Thanks for the info advaith!
Hello, when I try to run my game on my father's Windows 10 computer, everything is alright, smooth framerate, everything works. Until, I try to exit the game. Whenever I use taskmgr to close out the...
Is this your game? If so, then the work you've done is incredible!
I agree with BFPFilms424. I am developing a game with a heck ton of animations and I optimize all I can, but I am really close to hitting 2GB limit.
It'd be very cool to have that feature selecting...
Simple everything XD
Anyways, thought I'd share this example I made in 5-10 minutes of a simple Agar.io clone. It's based off, well Agar.io.
It has a simple AI (using bouncing ball), player can...
Neat! I'll use this for sure.
Yep, that's it! It works now. Thanks.
Noobie question: How would I give / fetch achievements for the player?
Hey, so when I tried setting this up, nothing worked at all.
Is there a tutorial with the up to date version of the API?
Thank you. I got a little bit confused on some parts, and yes, there is 4+ animations/frame.
Thank you once more.
bump, I guess
As the title suggests, how do you load animations externally?
Is there a way to load animations externally to reduce load times and increase game performance?
I'm asking this because my game is basically 3 or 4 animations per frame. Thanks in advanced.
Not sure if this is what you're looking for, but I've attached a .mfa file for you to look at.
Let me know if it works or not.
Was a bit confused regarding the extra folders
Oh, okay cool! Sorry to hear you had to take out 4 massive parts.
I'm quite experienced with Fusion, so I'll tell you my method.
Items I use:
*Counter (keeping track of animatronic) we'll call this: Anim. Bonnie will be used as an example
Mind telling me (or us) how?
I'm developing an game using a lot of animations.
Nice! I'll be using this quite soon.
Question: How do you install xLua? I've never seen or heard of xLua before, so help is appreciated.
Will do, thanks. Quick question, how would I go about loading files externally?
Nice, and thanks for the tips.
Thank you for the example.
@Tompa Thanks. I'll definitely contact James for suggestions.
Nice! Thanks for the fast reply Sparckman. :)
Is the Lacewing extension for Fusion 2.5 still supported? I just found out that multiplayer is achievable in Fusion, so I'd like to know how it works. I'm not ready for a project like that, but it's...
The game I'm aiming for is basically a horror free roam. It used 3D pre-rendered images, similar to Scott Cawthon's Five Nights at Freddy's series.
I can think of a couple a ways to...
As the title says, is it?
I'm currently developing a free-roam action game. I'm wondering what I should do to optimize the game and lower RAM usage.
Now, each frame counts as a room. And in each...
Hmm... maybe try hotspots?
Other than that make sure that the background and player is not out of frame.
Best advice I can give you. :(
Good luck! :)
Nice! I like it.
Also, @Pesto, I own a Mac, (along with Windows, duh :P) and whenever I go to the software section of my library, there is no installation button for Fusion 2.5. Basically, Apps and Games for Steam...
Ooh, Mac support for Fusion! Can't wait.
Not sure, try doing what @DavidN says. If not, try re-installing Fusion 2.5. If the problem persists, you might want to PM a ClickTeam member and tell them about this.
Another way is using a counter.
For example, make the counter's initial value to 0, Minimum Value to 0, and Maximum to Whatever.
(NEW CONDITION) User Clicks on [Object, Etc] >>> Add...
1. Fusion 2.5 is currently only for Windows, however, using some Virtual Machine or Winebottler should allow you to use ClickTeam Fusion. If you are going for a Virtual Machine to simulate Windows,...
EDIT: I've just tried Machine-Independent mode and it seems to be at a constant 40fps, which is good enough for me.
I'm probably going to upgrade my PC to better suit my needs.
Thanks for your help...
I recently noticed that while I was recording (my app/game) with Fraps, or Action, the frame rate would decrease and would go to 30-40. My problem is that it will constantly change frame rate, making...
Hi. I made a quick demo of what you have said.
I left some comments to help you.
Please report back and see if this is what you needed.

Nevermind, I fixed it.
I just re-installed the object from the extension manager.
However, thank you for the help, dsilvers.
It's weird though, I hadn't touched the perspective object at all.
Hi, today when I went to build my game as an .exe file, I got the following message:
Warning : the following extensions are not compatible with the build type of the application :
Thanks for your help!
I was a bit confused on why there is two versions for a while.
Hi, I was wondering if there is any difference (like major difference) between the Steam version of Clickteam Fusion 2.5 and the Stand-alone. I noticed that after buying the Steam version of...
Ah, thank you, I see now. I changed the X and Y to the same position for all the animations.
Hi, I assigned an Active object 6 animation sets.
I added an event to the counter. It basically says:
When Counter's Value is 2000, change animation set to "Bar5"
But the problem is that whenever...
