If you open WinRar, it will popup a little box telling you how to buy it, but you can choose the "close" option, and still use the program fully-functional. :)

Here is a quick example program using the Slider Popup Widget that will show a fake movie ad for a few seconds, then the app will close automatically.

You can set transparency on your graphic in the subapp, not sure about the actual subapp.
