You can also put your whole game in a group except the menu and inventory, which would have its own group you activated deactivated.. Activate it Deactivate it to pause the game.

If you copy the mfx's over from MMF2 to CTF2.5 it works from what I can tell. Also it shows in my ctf2.5 extension list.

You will have to re-install or re-download CTF2.5 and install it on the new computer. The reason is because of the registry gets changed once you install it.
