    How can I make higher objects move behind lower objects?

    Hey what's up.

    I'm trying to get enemies that are lower on the Y axis (so higher, further away from the bottom) to appear behind enemies that are higher on the Y axis, so that when they overlap they don't walk over each other's heads.

    I tried a bunch of different things, but I can't get it to work. I'm guessing this is because when I do "Enemy: move behind object Enemy", Clickteam doesn't know which enemy to move? Tried using spread value to make clickteam select one enemy object over the other, but this didn't seem to work either.

    Any ideas, anyone?

    Hey, thanks for the reply but unfortunately it does not work. I think the issue is that it's multiple instances of the same object, since it works fine to move infront of/behind the Player object, but not for the other Enemy objects.

    Well, that's a problem that i have got on 2015.
    You can just do this:
    if(y < player.y): bring to back
    if(y >= player.y): bring to front
    Or you can use the layer object.

    Thanks for the reply but the enemy objects are moving behind and in front of the player object just fine. The issue is with other instances of the enemy object (see video in first post).

    For something quick and easy you can use the Layer Object to sort things by Y (see example). You can also sort things by alt value, so you can give certain objects different alt values if you want to give them more priority over others etc.
