    Question Snap to grid possibility?

    Is it possible to create a "snap to grid" movement so that each shaded green area in the attached can be "snapped to" perfectly?

    For example I want to create an isometric building option in a game and need to have the floor foundations line up perfectly without gaps within each isometric zone and then snap the walls to the edge of the foundations.

    Any tutorials on creating this if possible?

    in the coding or in the Frame Editor?

    if Frame Editor:
    1. Click the icon below.

    2. select your grid width, height and offsets
    3. The left button (in the image below) lets you see the grid and the right button locks objects to the grid.

    if in Code
    1. get the positions of the object and do the following code
    objectPosX = objectPosX /32*32
    objectPosY = objectPosY /32*32

    this puts the object in a 32x32 grid

    Hope this helped, if not please reply and tell me what didn't work.

    This is the basic way to make grids, it doesn't work with isometric grids however. It should be possible to use it as a base though.
