How to install files to ProgramData?

As part of my game add-on installer, I need to write a group of files to a specified folder in the ProgramData directory. I'm having trouble wrapping my head around how to do this in Install Creator Pro. I've tried selecting my group of files in the install creator wizard and targeting them to #ProgramData#\[path of files], but that causes errors to be thrown saying a particular file can't be written, which I'm assuming is Windows denying the installer permission. If I just install the same files to the same install directory as the rest of the program, they give no problems. Does anyone have any insights?

Is the "Run as administrator" option selected in the "Options" tab? If so, the installer should have all the required permissions.

    I'll check that. Thanks, Yves.

EDIT: I checked, and Run as Administrator was already selected. That alone is not enough for the files to be installed.

Weird, what error message do you get in the installer, and what's the destination filename of the file that fails installing?

The message I'm getting is "Cannot create the following file: hangar_1.$$A" I'm not sure what the $$A extension is, unless it's a packed InstallerCreator file. The file once installed is supposed to be an image file named "hangar_1.dds". Not sure why this particular file is called out, but it installs normally if I try to put it anywhere but ProgramData, and it's only one of dozens of image files that are installed. My guess is that this is the first file the install comes across that's being put in that folder.

A little update: first off, I was operating under a misunderstanding. The folder I need to target is not #ProgramData# - as that particular var doesn't exist in Install Creator Pro. What I needed was #AllUsersAppData#. When I used that, things at least moved a step towards going into the right folder. The problem I'm working on now is that even though I selected an entire folder with multiple nested subfolders to be put into #AllUsersAppData#, it put all the files contained in the structure individually directly into ProgramData, which won't work at all. So now working on how to have it install the folder structure there, not just the loose files.

The pathname is ignored by default when a file is not installed in the global destination folder. In the build 45 of Install Creator Pro there is a "Keep pathname" option in the File Options / Windows tab under the destination directory options, it allows you to keep the subfolder structure of those files.
