    Bluetooth Object available in ClickStore

    Hi All,

As mentioned in the title. The Bluetooth Object is available in the clickstore.

    What you can do?
    1. Pair/Unpair Devices
    2. Connect to other devices to send/receive a block of data (strings)
    3. Share files, like images, text, pdf, etc.

    more information http://clickstore.clickteam.com/bluetooth_object
    Regards,

    Couple questions before purchasing.

1.) When will the iOS (and probably PC) compatibility be launching?
2.) Can I use it for bluetooth multiplayer game? (hoping for example mfa with best practices)
3.) will it support more than 2 connections for 2-4 player coop?
    4.) minimum android api level?

1.- we have not think on this so far.

2.- yes sure you can use but will depends on you protocol to use to handle that, chess games and all board games is nice to make it with BT, I have not test in pingpong game sorry.

3.- BT is between two devices, you may be talking about wifi p2p.

4.- android api 10, BT exist from beginning of the OS design.

is very fast and depends on the size of the message but the object comes with a file transfer example and an image of 2 MB is done in 4 -5 sec

so then wud sumthin tiny like a string of 1 or 2k be received within 1/60th of a second the time for 1 screen refresh/program loop?

i'm thinking of a realtime action game passing things back & forth with zero lag.

mm, zero lag does not exist in nature, for one or two K is pretty fast, the objects also come with an example for chatting.

    Bluetooth 4.0 is 25 Mbps , 3.0 24 Mbps for android devices

    old laptop could be 700Kbps

Thanks a lot for this extension.
It took a while to understand at first (Application may crash if a lot of commands are sent in the same loop, like initializing and connecting or shutdown on frame start or end, and also crashes on some rare occassions I wasn't able to pinpoint) but once you get the hang of it, local multiplayer is straightforward and just a matter of sending and receiving messages.

Can I ask for a list with all the possible error codes it can produce?
