Importing animations and using normal maps?

What is the best method of importing animations into firefly using a mesh made in blender? Also, with textures, is there a way to add normal maps to a mesh?

not sure what animation formats blender exports into but firefly can import :-
    .B3D files (skeleton mode)
    .MD2 and .MD3 (morph mode)
    .MS3D (skeleton mode)
.X files (binary & text) (skeleton mode)

normal maps are being worked on and should be coming in the next update of firefly.

Thanks for the reply Triadian. I was able to get the animations working not long after my post lol, but i'm having problems making them work with multiple animations. I'm working off of the platformer example you guys did and traded out the built in movement for the PMO. I exported using .B3D because it seemed to work better, but events wont trigger animation ranges. For example, my idle animation is from 0-20, run from 21-42 and attack from 43-47. I'm very good with using the PMO so i don't think its a typical coding error with the PMO, i'm coding like this:

    (Idle)
(PMO) Object is standing on the ground
x Repeat while Right key is pressed > (Animated Mesh)Load Animation Range 0-20, Looping On
x Repeat while left key is pressed
    - Object is not moving

What happens is it stays on the first frame and you can see the mesh twitch from time to time like it's trying to play the animation but it wont. But if i take out the code and just run with the "Start of Frame - Load Animation Range 0-20, Looping On, it plays the entire animation range with all the animations. Any tips?

yeah your constantly restarting the anim - you need to do something like on right key down start anim 21-42
then right key up - start anim 0-20

just play the anim once and let the anim actually play and loop
