    Basic Attacks, such as Divekick

    Hey, so I was having trouble figuring out how to make it so the player character could divekick while jumping, by pressing the attack button.

    Also another feature I wanted was a whip attack, similar to Earthworm Jim or Castlevania, but would transition to climbing on certain surfaces.

    Any advice/help on either would be appreciated.

    For dive kick, you would either need to temporary disable X or Y gravity movement. Play the dive kick animation, and then do something like Set X position of Player to X + 5 (or - 5, depending which way the player is facing) & set Y position of Player to Y + 5. Though that's just an example
    Course if you wanted to test to stop against floors/backdrops, fast loops would be needed here.

    For the whipping, you would do something like this:

    Flag 0 off: Stationary player
    - Fire button = Play whip attack

    Flag 0 on: Player climbing a ladder
    - Fire Button = Play whip from ladder attack.

    Again, just another example. If you need more attack types. use alt values, like so.

    Alt Value O = 0: Stationary player
    - Fire button = Play whip attack

    Alt. Value O = 1: Player climbing a ladder
    - Fire Button = Play whip from ladder attack.

    Alt. Value O = 2: Player swimming
    - Fire button = Play whip while swimming attack.

    Huh, I tried out both and kind of am messing it up. Any good examples?
