    How to save with Mac?

Probably a dumb question, but I can't seem to save my save games

    I have a global string

    fpath="D:\games\save\"

    load ini (fpath+"name")

    save array fpath+"\blabla"

this worked fine with IOS for loading/ saving etc
But this doesn't work with Mac.

What do I need to do different now?

    Thanks

Examples of pathnames for the INI object:

    - "test1.ini" => the file will be saved in the Resources folder in the application's package (right click the package of the application and select Display package content to see the content of the application - just in case you are not familiar with Mac app packages).

    - Apppath$ + "test2.ini" => the file will be saved in the root directory in the application's package. Apppath$ returns the pathname of the application, for example /Users/your_user_name/Desktop/myapp.app if you saved it on the desktop.

    - Any other pathname like "/Users/your_user_name/Desktop/test3.ini" => the file will be saved there.

Thank you, I didn't know that apppath$ was working for Mac too.

Played around with it, and it seems to save it in Xcode now with the Apppath$

But how do I load my items that I have embedded in the Binary data ?

I have 3000 files in there that start with
    d:\released\game\file1.dat
    d:\released\game\file2.dat
    etc

do I need to load it with the mac also as "D:\released\game\file1.dat" ?
since I did apppath$+"game\file1.dat" and that doesn't seem to work.

How do you use those .dat files? With what object? On Windows there are 2 ways to load embedded files:

    1. You just load the file with its normal pathname, Fusion will search for it first in the embedded files. This also works on Mac (for example for the Array or List objects).

    2. Not all the objects (especially video objects, or 3rd party objects) don't support the feature above. In this case you can extract the file to the Windows temp directory with the corresponding action, and then pass the temp filename to the object. This action has no effect on Mac, copy those files to the resources folder of the package.

for the embedded files I used "\data\level1.dat" without the apppath$ and that's loading the levels now.
and for saving new files I use the apppath$ in the front, and that seems to work now.
