    Minimum recommended hardware?

I'm thinking of pickup up a second-hand Mac to use purely to test ports exported with this, but I have no idea about models or operating system versions. What would be the base minimum recommended model I should look at to run average fusion-made games with?

Fusion-made games require OS X Mavericks or greater. I think any hardware that supports it will fit. Fusion apps haven't high requirement, but I think you should take a machine with at least 4 Gb RAM and possibly even 8 Gb, so that the OS runs flawlessly.

Thanks! I wasn't sure if there was a processor speed recommended for ports to take into account, I'll have a look around.

For a first Mac, if you're looking for something inexpensive I'd go used. Macs are generally built with premium components so they age very well. If you already have a mouse/keyboard/monitor to use, you can try a Mac Mini. If you want to get a laptop, I'd probably go with a MacBook Pro over a MacBook Air, the Airs are really showing their age at this point and it seems as if they will be discontinued. You can pick up a 2011 MacBook Pro (non-retina) that will work great for you for pretty cheap, or if you want the better screen a 2012 MacBook Pro with Retina is gorgeous (mine is still going strong and I've used it daily since it was new). I agree that you should get at least 4GB of RAM, but if you want to run Windows in virtualization you shouldn't try that without a minimum of 8 GB.
