    Playing audio from a directory, out of the source file?

    Is the Souind Player object by Looki the only object that can allow you to play small sound FX files outside the source mfa file? Or can you have your game play sound FX in a folder outside of the MFA without a need of an extension?

    Do you mean like playing a sound file the way you'd load an external image file?

    In my case the issue was, where to store the sound files and how to call them in Fusion, so when other player install and play the game, they will hear the sounds correctly (not silence because linking to sound file would be broken)

    edit: And I didnt want to store the sounds in the exe because the exe file would get extra +50 megs just from sounds alone.

    You can play a sample externally by clicking samples > play sample file > use expression. Make sure the samples are in the same folder as your mfa/exe. Type this:

    Apppath$ + "your sound here.ogg"
