    Move to position once with gamepad

    I made a boardgame where you need to move from tile to tile.

    At this moment I want to do it with the direction of a gamepad.

    When gamepad 1 direction is 4 (left) --->set position player -35 pixels from player.

    now when I do put the direction left it will just copy it from every tile and rush from right to the farest left tile (even with üse ones everytime )
    I want it to move everytime you press left, like you need to tilt the left stick everytime when you want to move and not hold the stick pressed

    not sure if this will work but how about whenever it moves one tile over, it sets an alterable value to 1 and the stick has to move back to center to clear te value to 0, and tge value has to be 0 before another move can be made?

    If you ever want to be able to hop tile to tile but at a specific pace instead of flying through, you can set that alterable value up to something higher (say 12 or 15) and then while it's greater 0, subtract 1, and only move when it's = 0. This way you'll be able to hold the stick down and move, but only ~4-5 spaces per second.

    you can get fancier by comparing the stick position to a threshold value instead of exactly center so it just counts the last time the user pushed it all the way to one side or the other (i am assuming it is an analog stick)
