Question Incompatible with Visual Studio 17

    Hey all,

Just got the UWP exporter, have downloaded visual studio 17, set up a developer account, got the xbox into dev mode and was all ready to test a program out. But once I exported my application out of fusion 2.5 using the UWP exporter, I try and open it in visual studio and it says in the solution explorer that it's "(incompatible)".

I can't seem to find any step by step guides on how to use the UWP exporter, so I don't know if i've done something wrong. Could really do with some community help here!

Before building the application in CF 2.5 you have to set the target version properties (in the UWP tab in the properties of the application) to one of the SDK's that are installed on your machine. You can find these SDK versions either in the VS installer or faster in the directory C:\Program Files (x86)\Windows Kits\10\Platforms\UAP.

Thanks for the quick reply. Done that - got the package to open in VS but now I can't run/build/debug it.

Don't suppose there's some supporting docs or guide on how to get from CF 2.5 to compiled UWP? Or maybe someone here could give me a run down on how they do it - as I'm pretty lost on this right now.

Well, you just have to press the "Local Windows Debugger" button to run the app. Maybe try another SDK?

Building an app for the Windows store is explained in the help (Distributing / UWP section).
