    I think it's because you're using sin and it never exactly hits 0. Like mobichan says you could clamp it using

    !leftKeyDown && !rightKeyDown
    +abs(xSpeed) > 0.01
    -->xSpeed -= sign(xSpeed) * frict;

    I'm dumb.... I was following a tutorial in **rival product** that used a function:

    sign(n);

    Description
    This function returns whether a number is positive, negative or neither and returns 1, -1, 0 respectively. For example - sign(458) will return 1, sign(-5) will return -1 and sign(0) will return 0.

    not to be confused with Sig() in Fusion (which I did)

    I'm dumb...... Well, it kinda worked....

    Note to ClickTeam: More cool functions please!!! Sorry I wasted your time guys!

    There's no sign() function in Fusion but you can easily have that with value/abs(value) (will return +/-1)

    For your issue maybe you can add a line like this:

    xspeed.png

    I'm no Fusion 2.5 pro but don't you guys think working with Fast Loops is a bit of a pain? Are Fast loops staying the same in Fusion 3??

    why cant they be as simple as:

    while(condition)
    { do }

    They always confused me with the 'enter the number of loops'. That is not a condition?? Shouldn't condition only determine the number of loops?

    I also HATE flags!

    It might be that you don't understand when to use fastloops. They are extremely handy as they are. The only confusing part is how object scoping is effected during a fastloop, but once you get a basic handle on it, they don't cause any issues. Being able to do an operation XX times in the middle of an event loop is invaluable.

    Edel: you can fire a fastloop -1 times to run it endlessly (and then check your "while" condition inside the loop to stop it)

    I think Edel mostly complains about the fact they work a bit differently than "while" (or "for") C++ loops,
    basically the logic is somewhat reversed, without flow control statements the loop must be trimmed to a specific amount of runs at start,
    but I think this can be a pro or a con, depending on what you need to do...

    Having additional loop controls, while not strictly required, would be nice imo, to optimize the code for most situations,
    but I seem to get the way Fusion3 is coming out "looks" to be more similar to most widespread programming languages,
    so I guess there might be some changes in loops too..
