    How do I make a random timer?

    So I want to make a random timer for this counter, for example, it adds 1 to the counter from 5-10 seconds (5 is the minimum and 10 is the maximum). So it adds 1 to the counter after 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 or 10 seconds.

    you can use random range function

    rrandom(5,10)

    That will select a random value between 5 and 10.

    Is this for the counter? If so I didn't mean it like that, I meant something like "after 5,10 seconds, set counter to rrandom(1,4)
    So after it's been 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 or 10 seconds, set the counter to either 1,4.
    I know how to do the random counter, just after 5-10 seconds I'm not sure what to do :P

    Use counters as timers.
    Every second, if Counter 1 = 0, set Counter 2 to RRandom(5,10).
    Every second, add 1 to Counter 1.
    Every second, if Counter 1 is equal to Counter 2, set Counter 3 to RRandom(1,4) and set Counter 1 to 0.

    This should work (attached). Use Mod to stipulate the difference in seconds.

    You can use the Mod function to further your scope of what seconds to use also.

    in that random counter example it had 'only one action when even loops' event. What's the difference between that and a 'start of frame event'?

    Start of Frame is only one immediate event. The one above is for when the timer (counter) is equal to anything in multiple of 5. Only one action when event loops stop the event from looping due to the number 5,10,15 etc. being there for a full second, so the event would randomly generate numbers for that whole second too.

    I don't have access to Fusion at the moment, but this should work for example.

    Every Max(5, ( Random(10) + 1 )) * 1000
    → Set Counter to ( Random(2) * 3 ) + 1
