    Best way to create a bee movement

    I hope the title makes sense.

    I'm trying to think of the best way of creating the most natural looking movement system for a player controlled bee. Race Car looks like it could be good but this is a side scrolling game so doesn't fit perfectly.

    I was toying with the idea of a custom movement engine but don't know where to begin as it's not a platform game.

    Anyone got any suggestions or examples?

    What perspective are you using? Pathing is odd in Fusion, not easily editable. I'd personally use an animation program like Moho to create the bee animation frames, then import them into Fusion for each direction the player might go.

    It's intended to be a sidescroller, the player would directly control the flight of the bee.

    The bee needs to be able to land and take off and twist and turn as a bee would. This is where my difficulty lies in choosing a control method.
