Support of unicode for ini files under html5?

Does the html5 exporter support ini files containing Unicode text?

I have attached a little example which works for Windows (exe file) and Android but not under html5. The language file "language.ini" (as zip file) contains examplary English and Chinese, is coded in UTF-8 format and under MMF it is placed as <Binary Data> under <Data Elements>. The attached screenshot shows the result under the Google browser: English text via ini file is showing up correctly, Chinese text directly given to string object is showing up correctly, but Chinese text loaded via ini file is showing up incorrectly.

Do I anything wrong or is unicode for ini files not supported under html5?

Any help is very much appriciated

    Best regards
    StefanS

I might have the same problem. I didn't try to solve it yet, though, as I'm doing some other stuff for now.
But with a quick test, that very thing happened to me as well. Did you manage to solve this?

I'll let you know if I find a way around!

Ah just noticed, from Bug Tracker:
    "Fixed in build 291."

    Excellent!

I tried the last beta patch 291.1, and in the change log we have

    - INI object: UTF-8 option not correctly managed.

but at the moment I have the same identical problem with utf-8 in ini file.

Is this a problem from my side or someone had the same problem and is a bug to be reported on the patch?

oh - thats bad. All my hope is on that beta version but I cannot test it at the moment. I run the Clickteam Steam version. No clue how to force Steam for providing the beta version.

1Ombra1 you have to post a bug report in the bug box with an example file if you want a bug to be fixed.

The bug reported by StefanS is fixed in the build 291, I just double-checked it, it must be another issue that depends on what your app does.

StefanS if you want you can activate betas in the Fusion 2.5 properties in Steam, and you have to copy/paste a code that is given in a sticky post in the Fusion 2.5 Steam discussions.
