so let me post my thread. Project name Tower of Trials.
PLATFORMTarget platform is Android phones, maybe if the game will popular i'll export for other platorms.
IDEAMain idea was to game wich have only one single input control - tap. So here is no onscreen buttons. Platformer game is nearly perfect for that if player will move byself and grab wall automatically. You can only control timing and jump height.
well, i announced first time, maybe 1 year ago. I didn't have exprience at that moment. What i've learned?
WHY SO LONG?
1. learned how to build level editor (array looping, effecient memory using, autotiling, layer management)
2. fastloop and eachloop tricks.
3. collision checks, perfomance testings...
4. making other genre protoypes...
4~ and other stuff what needs to create the game.
so i think i've exprienced enough to create complete game.
here first graphics testings
in the 1st version, where game was portait in orientation scroller - i've builded around 17+ levels using frame editor.
here second version wich medieval setting (looks nice, moved to trash. why? see that black spots? this is actually cubes 32x32, 64x64) making levels at that shapes was so slow. I want autotiling...
and here is final version (more like it)
