    Question Fixed value problem with an object

    I am trying to solve an issue with some child objects not being destroyed when their parent is being destroyed.

    The idea is that whenever an enemy dies, that enemy spawns a couple of coins being dropped.
    Attached to those coins are also shadows and another effect that is paired with the coin's fixed value.

    I've managed to get the pairing working properly, but once the player walks over many coins at the same time, some of the paired shadows/effects doesn't get destroyed together with their parent coin.

    Also, is there a more reliable movement solution for the coin-drops instead of Clickteam's built-in one?
    I am currently using the Pinball movement and it is giving me a couple of issues with scrolling frames.

    Also in properties check that coins and shadows are not created at start

    Attached is a fixed version.

    Firstly, you were creating your effect from the given active in a ForEach loop. This just won't work, as a ForEach loop runs with the game tick. You can see in my version, I detect the click on the enemy. I then tag the enemy and open up a fastloop group. By containing it to a closed group I:

    - Tag the enemy
    - Open Group
    - Run Fastloop (perform actions in order and immediately - including assigning correct parent fixed values)
    - Reset tags and Close group

    This provides the effect you need, instantly and all appropriate actions done in a linear fashion. Hope this is a good enough explanation Andy!

    To boot, also change Event 14 to Collision between Player and Coin instead of overlaps. This provides instant detection, allows the event to be an immediate event, thus ensuring nothing gets missed on the destroy. (At the moment as it is, it can leave out some flames from being destroyed).

    Thanks for the help Danny!
    Much apprechiated! This issue has bothered me for quite a while.

    I normally don't use Collision between Object A and Object B because i've been having some issues with hit-detection using that function before - especially with fast moving objects.
    But i'll give it a try.
