Question Moving an object along a curve

    Hey everyone.

I am trying to get a light source to move along a curve that I created in photoshop, in a sort of rainbow arc fashion. It will be moving between two pillars, and everytime it moves from one end to the other it will switch directions and continuously keep moving, my intention is to have the edge of it collide with the pillar (which will trigger the opposite movement). I'm trying to understand the programming logic surrounding how this is done. I want the light source to attach to the curve from one end and then travel along it to the other end and repeat etc. Does anyone have an idea on how to do this? Brain is fried from working all day..

    Thanks in advance!!

Active object properties - movement - type: path; edit movement.

That creates a jagged movement based on the amount of nodes you create and their placement, which may or may not be perfectly symmetrical. I want it to follow the curve that I created exactly.
