Is there a way to transfer one Flag state to another Flag?

I am racking my brains to find a single event solution to this: I have one object that has a Flag representing "facing direction". I want to create a new object relative to the first object and transfer the state of the facing direction Flag to the newly create object's facing direction Flag. Up until now, I always had to make 2 event lines every time I needed to spawn a child object (and this happens in 50+ situations in my code). I am curious is there a clever way to set the child flag in a single event line?

    Uh...

Call a Lua function telling it to tell MMF 2.5 to create the object and set the flag. Still two commands in the Lua function but very fast and in MMF 2.5 one event to call the function.

Sorry, I really don't want to involve Lua at this point just for something like this. I was curious if there was a native way to do it without extensions?

If you have the created objects in a qualifier would that help? Then you would only have to change the flag state for that qualifier and not for every single object but i am tired after having 12 hour work days and might be missing my brain right now

These objects are in a qualifier. But the problem is that the qualifier members often create child objects that then need to inherit the flag state of the parent. This would be simple if you could set a Flag to an expression, but sadly, I am looking for a workaround until that functionality is added to CF2.5.

You might be able to use the "immediate if" object to set the flag within one event.

Oh man, that object seems really useful. I just wish it was a natively supported feature of CF2.5 and not an old extension. I am very hesitant to put a lot of faith in obscure extensions if I can avoid it. Thanks for the heads up.

I have this same problem. And I just had an idea. Run a loop for all flags check if on set on else set off. Clickteam need to add set flags by expression. Set on/off/toggle is to limited..

I know what you mean about obscure extensions. That is why I originally suggested using Lua or perhaps a Python function. They give you better control and could run on multiple platforms. But I understand your issue with using Lua or Python.
