    Need advice on workig with lots of dialog

    If you were making a game that had a lot of dialog like Aviary Attorney what would be the best way to structure this kind of project in Fusion?

    Would it be best to use multiple string objects (one for each character) or would it be better to use a 'list object' which would store all dialog in just one string object? I supposed you can have one string object storing all your dialog then displaying them in another... How many paragraphs can one string object have?

    For this type of dialogue engine, I usually prefer the method of storing all my dialogue in a text file(aes encryption is an option here to make the text unreadable in the document/and game exe when you store it as binary data, but decrypt it automatically from inside your application), load the text with Ini object and then use two String objects(what you said basically) - one will be used as setup String and another one to display the dialogue in the Frame.

    I think I pretty much got the basics on using the ini file method for loading dialog but I'm having trouble decrypting. I think I've managed to encrypt but I can't seem to decrypt (I'm using the AESfusion Object). Can somebody take a look at this:

    About Strings trying to decrypt.mfa

    *i was trying to just decrypt the first line just for testing but im not 100% on how this works.

    ini file looks like this:

    [chapter01]
    1=8D851D7D71F165CFE657C64D22E03CD8
    2=RENFIELD: I say, driver, a bit slower.
    3=MAN: Oh, no! Must reach the inn before sundown!
    4=MADAM: And why, pray?
    5=MAN: It is Walpurghis Night, the night of evil! Nosferatu!
    6=MAN'S WIFE: (places her hand over his mouth)
    7=RENFIELD: I say, porter, don't take my luggage down. I'm going on to Borgo Pass tonight.
    8=INNKEEPER: The driver, he is afraid. Walpurghis night. Good fellow, he is. He wants me to ask if you can wait and go on after sunrise.

    Alright. I'll take a look today and send you the updated version. That's not difficult to do and the AESFusion part is probably not your issue.
