    String or string tokenizer delimiter

I want to be able to count the number of words in a string. Maybe this could be done by counting delimiters. Is there a phrase for string objects, instead of "characters long", for it to be delimiter long or word long.

string object "The above string is " + Str$(Len(Edittext$( "Edit Box" ))) + " characters long."

If not what about in string tokenizer. A string can be divided up by a delimiter, but is there a way to count the delimiters in a string.

Use string tokenizer to add a space delimiter, then get the number of delimiters.
