It appears that from the history of the microphone.mfx it never worked correctly and had major flaws. Not my words but from the users who tried to use it.

I don't know if it was ever fixed but that does not appear to be the case.

If it was fixed that would be nice but would not be multi-platform.

    Hi _peixe_

Just in case the microphone object does not work for you ... take a look here: http://www.nch.com.au/recordpad/index.html

Now take a look at the SDK it uses: http://www.nch.com.au/recordpad/sdk.html The SDK allows you to send commands from MMF2.5 to the Microphone Recorder program and allows you to control, record, play etc...

MMF2.5 has the ability to "Execute an external program" found as part of the "Special" object found as part of the "New Action" dialog. No special extension needed.

This will work with Fusion 2.5. For basic testing just create a new project. On the frame go to the Event list editor.

    Condition: On start of Frame

Now create an action by right clicking and the New Action dialog will pop up.
    Now right click Special object
    Now select "Execute external program"

    Fill in the fields.

I am looking at doing this for myself and my programs also.
Note: I have not tested this specific program but I have used the "Execute external program" before and it works well with other similar sdk solutions.

    Run the program.

I believe cost is about $25 for Recorder Plus.

NOTICE: Under options for Recorder Plus you can "hide" its GUI when running so on your MMF 2.5 program appears to user.

Very interesting, but not the best option, because I could not distribute the program with my karaoke. But thank you very much for your commitment to help me !!!! At least there is an option now! :-) I'm waiting for Danjo extension, I'm expecting it!

I agree, I prefer you have the microphone extension but based on the forum research I fear it might still need some programming fixes. Maybe not, but if not I would expect to see a number of other users using it.

As you say not the best but at least an option. Best of luck.

    Hi _peixe_
Yes this could perhaps work for you. I see that with Windows 10 however problems were reported. Conflicts between Windows 10 and the MCI commands at operating system level. I guess it will depend what you plan to do with your program.

If you are going to distribute to Windows 10 machines you could face problems so testing will be critical. It seems Windows 7 or below like XP seemed to work better with MCI. Anyway I would try it but have a backup plan just in case.

@_peixe_ I found an opensource ActiveX control which might also provide a solution for you:
