Question Release game on Steam with mac support?

With the Mac exporter is it now possible to release mac support for Steam games? Do anyone know aprox how big the mac user base is on Steam? 90% PC users and 10% Mac users..? I have no idea, anyone have any numbers?

Also how hard is it to use the Mac Exporter and are there many extensions for the windows runtime that does not work on Mac?

Sometimes it works in your favour to release on a platform that isn't so popular. If other developers don't bother to release anything for it, all those Mac users are going to be looking for games to play and yours could be the big fish in a small pond!

From some stats I saw there are about 33 million daily users (67 million monthly) on Steam and 27 million of those are paying users. That would mean that the number of daily Mac users would be in the region of 800,000 to 1,000,000. If you could reach some of those it might be worth it.

That is true actually, I assume there is no way to know if a game I have made for PC can run on a mac though without buying a mac?

I think there are different ways of testing if you don't have a mac. One way is to run macOS in a virtual machine on your PC using something like VMware, but you can find really cheap mac mini's on ebay or Amazon and use your existing monitor, keyboard and mouse, then you could make iOS apps and Mac apps.

Note that obviously these are not the only extensions that work on Mac, you can check extension lists for more:
