Advanced Sound Generator frequence into a Piano?

    hi

How do I know If C on a piano is in frequency 0 and D# is what? Can you calculate a piano on frequency ?

    Thanks

    hey,

Do you mean the frequency of the note itself (i.e. the fundamental?) and the difference between the frequency of a D# vs a C?

If so, that depends, the difference in Hz between those two notes is going to be different for every octave. The difference between C4 and D#4 will be very different to the difference between C3 and D#3. I'm not huge on my understanding of music theory but there's a very good video that talks about the harmonic series here:
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q8ITu0EASL4

If you need the frequency of each individual note, you could probably store them in your game somewhere. Here's a list of notes and their frequencies - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Piano_key_frequencies

But, if you mean something more like you have a sample of a C note that you've imported into my game, and you want to change the frequency (sample rate) of the sound file itself and note the actual note - you *could* calculate how much you'd have to speed up the sample rate/frequency of the file itself to make other notes.

I hope that wasn't too confusing an answer

I use a wave file "format C" and tryed to frequency it up and it worked okay.

Last is that i wanted to use Sound generator and Sound player

    I did try
    + add a "sound"
    Set start frequency 554.365
    Generate sound
+ Play Sound "sound" on channel 01

this work not correct, what do I need here? I was looking at the same time after an example made for Sound generator and Sound player and it showed
how to play with it! I cant find it....
