Ye Fenny 2 - Really bad micro stuttering when using external .ogg for sound effects.

    Hey guys,

Is there a way to cache .ogg's before a frame starts? The only way to play my game, Ye Fenny 2 without this stuttering issues is to run it from an SSD.

There's still a large percentage of people playing games from traditional HDD's and I don't want them to have a bad experience.

    Many thanks,
    Dave,
    DPAD-FTW.

I had issues like this before but it was .wav files, for me it worked if i added the sound as binary files.

Thanks guys. So it seems theirs an issue with Fusion not caching ogg's, guessing because they have to be loaded directly from file, decoded, then played.

Might help us out @Clickteam if you implement a sound caching system per-frame. Frame grabs all external sound files before loaded and stores them in memory and played back on command.

The reason i'm getting bad stuttering is because my project drive is a HDD, if I play Ye Fenny 2 from an SDD all is well, but my customers guessing 90% of them don't have dedicated gaming SSD's.

EDIT: I'm guessing if I reduce the quality of the ogg's maybe stuttering can be a thing of the past? We will see, but I do not want to reduce the quality of my game for my customers.
