Cannot get quotations marks to register

I am trying to use the event editor's "Strings" to make an expression. However, currently, whenever I type in "quotes" ("), it comes up with a different character in MMF2.

I've attached a window shot of the problem

    Thanks for your suggestion, aenever.

If that doesn't work then try writing a quotation mark in Notepad, copying it, and pasting it.

That link didn't solve my problem. I use US english QWERTY keyboard.

I am on Windows 10 Pro 64 bit.

Also, when I paste it from notepad, I get the same problem

OK that didn't work try this link for Windows 10, to check you're on the right keyboard language, use this short cut: Press Windows key + Spacebar. This will display all the languages you have installed & which one is selected.

This link offers some other possible solutions.

Makes sense, I knew it wasn’t a fusion error otherwise we’d all be having the issue
