    Keeping the background still

Hello! I just have a quick question, how do I keep the background still?

I'm currently working on something where no matter where I move or progress in the game, I'd like the background to remain still and not scroll with everything else. Is there a way for me to do this?

Is the background an active object? If so, on the properties tab make sure that the "Follow the Frame" box isn't ticked.

    Quick answer:
1: Press ctrl+k to show the layer toolbar.
2: Press the 'New layer' button.
3: Drag the new layer to the bottom, making it Layer 1.
4: (Optional) Rename the layer to Background.
5: Drag the backdrop into the Background layer.
6: Select the Background layer to see its properties. Make sure the property windows is open. Set X coefficient and Y coefficient to 0. This will make any objects in this layer not scroll.
