Can I add an additional issue with this object? I noticed there was a discussion about this back in 2016 and I was wondering if the bug was ever fixed.

When I use an expression to load an image into an Active Picture object it works when I'm running in Windows but crashed in Android. I use two different qualifiers for Windows and Android runtimes so I have the Apppath$ or DataStorageDirectory$ paths set up correctly.

My Android event looks like this:

    On loop "ReadScript"
    String$(Code) = "pic1"
    Is running as Android application

    New Picture : DataStorageDirectory$( "Android object" ) + "/" + string$( "Script" )

My Windows version works perfectly, but the Android version crashes. I made sure to include the PNG binaries in Data Elements.

So, I assume this is a bug still? Or do you think I'm doing something wrong?

    What does string$( "Script" ) contain? (Image.png)?

Yes, that's exactly right. I have a set of loops which check the "Code" and "Script" from lines from my INI.

For example, when the player is close to an NPC, a dialog can be started. It loads the NPC_name.ini and begins running loops based on what "Code" is on each line. I have a code to print text in a dialog box, code to load the NPC portrait, etc. The dialog works just fine in Windows and Android, and the portraits are loaded in Windows, but it crashes in Android.

Because I thought it was just a bug with Active Pictures, I completely re-wrote the events with an Active Object instead. Again, it works fine on Windows but crashes on Android.

@ Fernando I've tested new object. problem of the first picture seems to fixed. However, the second problem(it happens when app return from background) still exist.
