I've got a problem with placing some background music into my game. I've got it set up so that a sample plays on channel 1 so that I can place sound effects and such on other channels. I haven't added any other samples to any other channels yet because I'm trying to troubleshoot what's going on.
If I simply tell the application to start playing a sample it does so. However, when I tell it to start playing on a specific channel it's mute until the user has clicked on any button in the option menu (file, options, help) and it stops the moment the user returns to the application. I have "Play sounds over frames" checked, but it isn't fixing the problem. Am I overlooking something really simple?
