    sound timing with HTML build

    Hi,
Please help with my sound timing.

I have background (sample) playing continuously.

Upon winning a round, the background sample pauses; then play a "TaDA" sample and also set a global "winner flag"

On another line; if "winner flag" is TRUE, jump to frame 2.
Frame 2 has the high score table object.

When I play the game without compiling; the "TaDA" sings then the frame switches (as I want it to do).

But when I compile to HTML then play in the browser on my PC (and a friend tried as well), the High score appears before the TaDA song.

How do I force the timing of the TaDA to play before moving onto the High Scores Frame? Adding the flag was my solution,a s I originally had it all on one line; but separating the song and the jump didn't work. I'm confused.

    Thank you for looking.

You could create a Alt value that triggers when the ta da sound occurs eg Alt value A = 1. And you make a condition when Alt value = 1 and ta da is not playing jump frame. If you need help i'll make an example yet you might figure it out with what I've suggested.

Thank you for the suggestion aenever. I don't think I need an example; you're kind for offering. It's like my flag idea, but I don't check for if the sample already played. What would you attach the alt value to (or would it be global). I will test this out.

@PlayDay you can check to see if a specific sample is not playing:

So if you start the sample playing, then set your flag.

Instead of saying: if "winner" flag is true then jump to frame 2
Use: if "winner" flag is true AND is a specific sample not playing? (tada) THEN jump to frame 2.

This will make sure the tada sound finishes playing and then jumps the frame.

Simon: yes! this works. I didn't know to check for sample NOT playing, it seems odd, yet it does work.
    Thank you both, @Simon and @aenever .
