    1 x 1 pixel level editor - possible?

    Hi

    I trying to make a level editor using 1 x 1 pixel (window 222 x 222 pixel). I know that 32 x 32 pixel work here but how can I solve this
    (TileSize 1, FWidth 222, FHeight 222)

    Is it possible ?

    Thanks

I dont see why it wouldnt? Just set/read from a 1px grid instead of 32.

What are you having an issue with?

You would need to create about 48k objects/backdrops to fill one single layer 220*220 alone. That may be possible with auto tiling, but an array storing this amount of tiles would consume 194mb alone. You’ll also likely hit a CPU bottleneck as all these individual pixels need to be tracked for scrolling, collision etc. As a rule of thumb I wouldn’t go beyond 10K for one room. Would be a funny thing to test tho

I got it work here but I found it difficult to draw so small pixels. Then I tryed to zoom in it. but it did'nt work smooth for me. Then I Resize the app big to draw.... I create a sub where I paint the hero frame by frame, Then I move around the sub! Like platform player. The same time I play diffrent frame in sub, based on 1 x 1 pixel level editor. it works okay for now

I miss a fill out function!

Hi I have made a level editor where you can draw a man and animate him piece at a time and then test him in a platform machine using sub frame so that is transparent.

It was an idea I got from Another World - The Making Of with Eric Chahi

    Fusion 2.5
    __________

    Platform engine
    256 colors
Using Sub app with is transparent color
    1 x 1 pixel level editor with 8 colors
    Draw by hand / mouse
