Xbox One frame rate bug. 60 FPS impossible without virtual mouse present.

This problem has been brought up on the Discord, but I'm posting it here for good measure.

In the current UWP version, a virtual mouse must be used once per unsuspended state. Winjs has since been updated to change the way a pointer down state works. If you switch to the latest version of winjs, you will need the virtual mouse to be present in each frame to achieve 60 FPS.

I'm uncertain if this is a Fusion issue or a WinJS issue.

This will happen on a blank frame.

Hope to see this get resolved!

You mean if we want to reach 60FPS in our games we need to activate the virtual mouse even if we Don't use it?

I Don't see any difference in term of Framerate with this version.

Actually, since I've set the FPS to 60 and improved my events, my game menu that was running at 20-30FPS (because the events were not optimized) are now running at 60FPS. But my main game is stuck at 40FPS. Normally, When i hit pause, the game hits its max FPS because there's no scrolling, and there on Xbox, even on pause, the game is stuck at 40FPS, it's really Strange. I think the performances were better When the game was running at 50FPS but i can't remember well.

Btw, i Don't know what is the best option for performances in the UWP settings, i actually use "group images in mosaic files", but i Don't know if i should use "load all data at start" as it activate "keep ressources between frames" and i'm not sure this one will improve the perfs.

I'm testing on a Xbox One X (powerful console of the world and it can't handle a 2D game). I Don't know how the game is going on a standard Xbox One, i hope the result is the same on both console, and that the extra perfs of the X model can't be used by our UWP games (so it's Why the perfs are bad for a simple 2d game)).

Sorry for going dark! Been out of town all week.

@Fernando , send it on over. I can test today or tomorrow.

@Dobermann , if I'm correctly guessing what this test is, you should try this on a blank frame with a frame rate counter. Disable the mouse.

The frame rate issue is still there. It does not exceed 55 FPS without moving the virtual mouse once. I also see that WinJS hasn't been updated to 4.4.5.

Mouse movement and click is responsive, but it seems to register the pointer being all the way at the top of the frame as a click in some spots.

Tested in a mostly blank program on an Xbox One S retail unit running in dev mode.
