Google Play console advertisement: APK not optimized

I've just published a new update to Google console and got this message:

    APK not optimized

    Warning :
This APK creates unused code and resources that are sent to users. You could reduce the size of your application with the Android App Bundle format. Because you do not optimize your application for device configurations, it is larger than necessary for download and installation on users' devices. Large applications have lower installation rates and take up space on users' devices.

    Resolution:
Use the Android App Bundle format to automatically optimize your app for device configurations, or manage it yourself with multiple APKs.
How to do what they're asking for?

Yes, each new version of Android is a pain for us… I really Don't like how Google works, as they put more work for the devs instead of making things better.

The app bundles only work if you're using Google's key signing service and I don't use it, so I never get any warning messages. Until they make is compulsory I wouldn't either.

And the other places that I publish - most importantly Amazon.com doesn't have an issue with this. As it is the latest Fusion release, when you increased the lowest possible build number, meant that my games won't work on one of Amazon's Kindles any longer - it's one from 2011 but they still support it.

So if you're going to change anything to support multiple bundles - please also keep the option to have only 1.

Yes we are aware of this, we will add this feature in next version for users that want to build with bundle and upload bundle and certificate to Google Play Store, it will still available to build regular APK for other services like amazon or web apk provider.

I just trying to publish an APK and I opted out of the Google App Signing Service. So, now I can't publish my app becuase it is not an "Android App Bundle". What a pain. Clickteam is not listed as one of the platforms compatible with producing the app bundles. What to do?
OKAY - I found my problem. They added a new section in which you HAVE to pick an age group that your app appeals to. I did this and then I was able to publish my app. Yeah!

According to the documentation I read, if you opt out of Google App Signing Service - then you can't submit a bundle - even if you have one - or can make one.

You just get warning messages and we're still able to ignore them.

(The bundle / optimizations is going to make so little difference - it's not really worth the trouble.)
