    Problems with sound and ActiveX

    Windows XP 32 Bit.

    1. There is a problem with > Special Conditions > Execute external program "123.exe""""(wait)
    The program won't stop!

    2. I can't open the global values folder in the debugger!

    1. What program doesn't stop and when? Please be more precise.

    2. You can't open the global values when ... there are no global values ... (note: this is not new in the build 292). Either define the values in the editor or create them at runtime.

I meant when I load an app from an app and choose the function "wait", the main app pauses but the sound continues.
This only happens in my game, not when I try to reproduce the error. I think but it's related to when the activeX object is in a subapp. I have to check it again.

Because of the global variables I expressed myself wrong, I meant the limitation of the alterable variable which is displayed in the debugger only up to variable 52 even though I already use 130 variables.
Will this still be changed? Because otherwise I have to use countless counters to read variables.

So if I understand you correctly:

"Execute external program "123.exe""""(wait) The program won't stop!" actually means "when I load an app from an app and choose the function "wait", the main app pauses but the sound continues."

    and

"I can't open the global values folder in the debugger!" actually means "the debugger only displays up to variable 52 even though I already use 130 variables"

    ?

Yes, I already told you this would be fixed in the next next build after the build 292.5 (= build 292.8 as the build 292.7 was a very quick patch to fix a crash 292.6).

Hi Yves, I didn't know that version 292.7 was a quick patch.
Sorry I missed that a bit.

May I send you a .mfa describing my problem with activeX in more detail?

Could you first describe this problem? If it's a problem with a specific ActiveX control we won't be able to fix anything.

This is not an XP problem, Windows 7 & 10 are also affected.
I have been using your products for over 24 years and hope that someone from clickteam can help me now.
Since I don't have your contact details, I have sent a .zip file via email to Jeff as he was able to help me with a problem in 2013 and hope he will forward it to you.

Can't you use the Play Sample File action instead of an ActiveX control?

Fusion can't stop the MP3 played by your ActiveX control...

No. I must be able to influence the playback rate ( 22050 Hz - 44100 Hz ).
If mmf2.5+ can't do that, I just have to live with it and find another way.

Can't you use Set Channel Frequency for this?
