    Number of Object = 0

    Does not fire at the start of the frame unless the object is already placed(and then deleted during run time)

    ??

    Using global events. I am trying to do an initialize check, which will check if any critical objects are missing at runtime

    If the object doesn't exist in the frame, global events that affect or reference the object won't work. You can place the object in the frame and uncheck the "create at start" option if you don't want to delete the object at runtime.

    So how would I check for an object missing at run time?

    Number of object = 0 will work as long as the object exists in the frame (in other words, as long as the object appears in the frames local event editor, you can check if the object is missing at runtime). If you are asking "using events, can I check if the object exists in the frame" then my answer is I don't think you can do that.

    Well thats very unfortunate

    I also still think its highly illogical too that Number of Object = 0, requires the object in the frame. Obviously at runtime if it does not exist or has never existed, it should fire the event. But oh well

    This is not illogical at all, this is how global events work in Fusion. The rule is simple: when an object is not in the frame (= is not displayed in the object list of this frame), the global events (or behavior events) that refer to this object are not included in the frame at build time. So a line that contains this condition will be removed in this frame.

    We're thinking about possible solutions that would allow to automatically include object instances that are created in global events, to avoid you to copy/paste those objects in every frame, though no ideal solution as been found yet.

    You can use this trick:

    * Start of Frame
    + Number of Active >= 0
    Special : Activate group "Object exist on frame. Work with this"

    [ Object exist on frame. Work with this ]

    * Active is overlapping a backdrop
    Active : Destroy
