Any Chance of a Dialogue Box Update?

I'm using the dialogue box a lot in my Windows application (as I'm sure many other users are) but I've found quite a few limitations. Namely:

    • No way to change colours of ANY of the dialogue tools
    • No ability to ability to access image boxes in code at runtime.
    • No way to add images to buttons or customize the look of buttons
    • No way to change fonts of individual items (its all or nothing)
    • No way to change font colours

I would love for there to be more versatility with the object as it currently leaves my dialogue screens looking a bit dated and the style is out of sync with teh rest of the app. What are the chances or can anybody guide me on how I might do this myself?

    Thanks
    Simon

Honestly Grimmy, just design your own dialogs using subapp (+modal). This way you have complete and full control over design, layout and functionality of your dialogs...

Thanks. I suppose that's one way, but you get so much functionality for free when using the native dialogues (drop downs, edit boxes etc). To code all the native functionality of dialogues myself would take many times the amount of additional work that it just wouldn't be worth it for some control of the colors etc - Let alone open a can of worms of other bugs and problems. Seeing as the dialogue control is included in the dev version it would be nice if it had a bit more customization, that's all.

The problem with standard controls like the ones used in the Dialog Box object is that changing the colors is not a simple change. I can't tell you when this could be done.
