Unhappy Problem with Race Car Movement

    Hi everyone.

I have little problem with Race Car Movement. As you probably know, if you set this movement when you press up arrow it will keep on driving untill you press down arrow to brake.
Is there any way to modify this so the car is moving only when you are pressing button, but when you release it it will stop? Any tips, examples?

I don't think the race car movement was designed to stop. All the movement functions can be overridden but it defeats the purpose of using them.

I've attached and example for you just showing up and down - you'd have to create this kind of movement for every direction.

Of course there is. In fact there are several ways you can do that.

Mine would be something like bellow:

    deacceleration.PNG

In fact everything depends on what you want to succeed. You could consider that this deacceleration is a way to simulate what the possible resistances and friction is doing to the movement behavior of the car.

This means that you could for example make the car stop faster on roadmaps with more friction and slower when on oil for example.

To make it stop faster just lower the "every 5ms" value or increase the deduction of speed (which I dont recomend).
To make it stop slower do the opposite of the above...
